I particularly enjoyed hearing Erik's thoughts on networks, non-violent communication, and venture capital as a product. Having built a sizable audience of his own through podcasting, On Deck’s Co-founder, Erik Torenberg innately understands what it takes to build a large audience. To recruit talented leaders for On Deck’s fellowships, Torenberg empowers them to serve as the faces of their respective fellowships and provides ample opportunities to build their Erik runs a podcast and a venture fund. He’s also the founder of On Deck, a modern alternative to MBA programs that helps entrepreneurs meet cofounders and start companies.
I appreciated the perspective here, framing our ills with a lens toward modern Western society. I was surprised that for all of the talk of going inside & internal aims, not once did Eastern philosophy appear.
